Candid Arts Trust

Situated in Angel, Islington (London) Candid Arts Trust is a self-funded arts charity that holds events, exhibitions and has studio and rehearsal spaces. Myself and 7 other artist exhibited in their first floor gallery space on the 26th of March 2024. The show was collaboratively curated showing a range of artworks from paintings to performance.

Featured in my 2023 portfolio, ‘Let it all hang out’ and ‘Little let it all hang out’ were displayed together. The two pieces dramatic size difference draws attention to the political yet intimate nature of the female nude. These paintings explore intersectionality in contemporary Feminist art with the body positive movement. The artificial colour pallet is further exaggerated by the display of the pieces on white walls.
